My grade went back in time on the Oregon Trail for our History Day! There where 8 stations for us to go to. I started at 2 and ended at 1. My first station (station 2) was pioneer games. We made toys called moon spinners. You take a piece of rope and then put both ends together. Then, tie them in a not. Not a bow, or a not that you use two stings for, just a not.
But before we do the nots, we put one one inch button on the rop in a certain way. Then tie the not. You take both ends of the 'Moon Spinner' and spin the button around. Once you are done, you let it unroll. It is hard to explaine. Then we played marbles. The next station I went to was relay races. We used real eggs and put one on a spoon for each team. Boys against girls. There were only seven people in my group so a parent helper was on the girls team. The boys team's egg broke! It was weird! We also did leap frog and blind man's bluff. The next station was indian beading. We got some uniqe beads and a peice of string. Then, we moved on to the next station. The next station was roping. We had little animal heads sticking out of the hay. We had two instructors at the roping but we had to rope on out own. I got all three animals. It was hard though. The next station was pioneer tools. That was interesting. The next was making butter.
We had to shake the cream and a pinch of salt in a jar for 15 minutes. It didn't hurt my arm though. Next was branding. We got to brand our school's aniccials onto a peice or our own card baord. That was cool. Later we got to rost a marshmallow while we were waiting. Then we did laundery and milking cows. The laundery must have been tough! The milking a cow was a little easiar then laundery.
So yeah and there it goes again!
You did laundry? You'll need to practice to keep up that skill. I'll save some for you.
