When my Dad and Tracy dropped me off, I was excited. There were four bunk beds in my cabin... six girls, so two extra beds. Olivia had the bottom bunk, and I got the top! The first night, we went to dinner, and just hung out... my counselors' names were SnowSki and Ya-Ya. Those aren't their real names, of coarse. (All the counselors had different names than their real ones and at the end of the week, we learned their real names). The first night in our cabin... we were all freaked! The other girls' names were Carly, Katie (A.K.A. Brain. She knows alot of stuff), Makaya (A.K.A. Marshmallow), and Kailey. The first night, we heard fireworks.... thought they were a sasquatch or a gun shot... and it was pitch black, so we used our flashlights in our cabin. The other cabin was only like 30 feet away from us, and the counselor's cabin was close, too.
We were all screaming someone in our cabin was crying... so we went to go get the counselors and they said that they were just fireworks. So we all calmed down, and didn't worry about the fireworks. The first night, we stayed up until about five in the morning, part of the reason for that was that Carly didn't want mosquitoes in our cabin so she sprayed the whole cabin with bad-smelling bug spray, and it was hard for us three on the top bunks to breathe! So we opened our cabin door and aired out the cabin for an hour. In that hour people had to use the biffy (port-a-potty). I DONT LIKE GOING IN THERE AT NIGHT! ITS ALL DARK AND CREEPY!
But anyway, on Monday, our first full day, we just learned where everything was and all that stuff. On the first full day, it pretty much felt like we were already there a whole week. On Monday night, me and Olivia were like "Ugh, so much drama in our cabin! I miss my parents," By drama in our cabin, I mean like there were two girls who kept fighting. But they didn't ruin our fun. On Tuesday, we went on a 3 mile hike. We stopped in the middle of it to eat lunch. We sat down on this bridge, the crossed over a beautiful piece of land. It was a big green field.... really long grass, and at the end of it were big tall, dark green trees. Which all of us thought was really pretty. After our lunch, we hiked back to camp. Got an hour to ourselves, went swimming, then took a nice SHOWER!! It was really nice to take a shower... trust me. After using port a potties, and hiking, YOU NEED A SHOWER! After our shower, we ate dinner in the mess hall! And after dinner every night, we had to stop by the nurses office to give some of the kids in our group night time medications. Like one girl had to get medicine put in her ear because it doesn't drain easily or something like that. The nurse owns a dog named Fred. He is a basset hound, and he is SUPER CUTE! He even has his own life jacket!!!! :) AWWW!!! Anyway, on Wednesday, we packet up our stuff, and food in garbage bags, and canoed a mile across the lake to an island where we camped out over night. The canoeing was fun, but not as easy as it looks/ed. We slept under the stars in our sleeping bags. That was pretty cool. Is saw two shooting stars! :) The downside to this camping out thing, was that when we had to go to the bathroom, we had to pee or so called urinate on a rock! EWWW. And get this, if we had to go #2, we had to dig a hole and #2 in the hole... it was gross!!! And even if you didn't have to go, they made you go, because they wanted you to experience it.... :P
We made hot dogs for dinner, pineapple upside-down cake for dessert, and for breakfast, potatoes! Then we canoed back... but right before we started heading back, we all had to try purified water! FROM THE LAKE.... Dun....Dun...DUN!!!!
The purification tablets turned the water oranges, so later thursday night, I look in the port-a-potty, and found orange poo..... it was grooooosss!
Thursday night we had ending camp fire with s'mores. And learned our counselor's names. SnowSki's was Catherine. And Ya-Ya's was Victoria.
:) IT WAS SOOOOO MUCH FUN! :)
HAVE A GWEAT NIGHT!
This post made me laugh A TON! Orange poop? Ya-Ya for a counselor name? Urinating on a rock? Hilarious! I'm glad you had fun, though. I sort of wish I had been there with you! :)

Haha, yeah.... and it's true.... And the poop, was, GROSS. A girl named Carly in out cabin thought there was a bear or a sasquatch or a "six-eyed" dear outside our cabin, so she got all freaked and made us five go with her and sSURROUND the porta-potty while she was in it at 1 in the morning. :)
