Before I get to the Halloween excitement, there is something that is surprising that you might find shocking.
So, we left the house this morning at 6:55 a.m. First, we had to drop my brother off at his high-school, then we'd drop me off at my junior high school. We were driving up a hill just after an intersection and stopped at a red light. My brother is sixteen years old, so he was driving and my dad was in the passenger's seat. All of a sudden I hear my dad yell, "Oh my gosh! OH MY GOSH!" as he covered his eyes and looked away. I yelled back, "What?! I don't see anything!" Then, he replied, "That kid over there! He just got hit by that car!" as he pointed towards the other side of the road where the cars were going a different direction. I looked quick enough to see a person roll to a stop in the middle of the road, and a truck screech to a loud stop on the side of the road. The man was wearing running gear... he was going for a jog with his friend. He ran in front of the cars that were stopped at the red light, but I guess he forgot that cars can turn on a right red light. The car turned around the corner, speeding the speed limit, doing nothing wrong, and then the man just ran in front of it. Not even using a crosswalk.
My dad got out of the car and immediately dialed 911. About two other grown-ups got out of their cars, too. They surrounded the man, and waited with him until a police man came. Quickly after the police man, a firetruck and an ambulance came. The firetruck pulled in front of our car, so that blocked us from seeing anymore; a fireman walked up to our car and said, "I think you can go where you were going now..." but we replied "Oh, we would but our dad is out there." and then the firefighter told us to pull into a parking lot just across the road. So we did. What we did see wasn't good; the man didn't move. He didn't look alive, to me. At least from where I was sitting. I was freaked out and shocked, as I watched the gurney being brought over to to the man. My dad spotted us and we left the scene and drove away.
When my dad picked me up after school today, I asked him if he had heard anymore about the man. He said that he had called the boise police and that they said he was in "grim" condition... NOT GOOD! I hope that man will be okay. His friend told the police that he was 55 years of age. He wasn't bleeding at all when he was hit, but he probably... actually, lets just be smart here and say he does have internal problems now.... :(
WELL, TONIGHT I MIGHT BE GOING TO THE HAUNTED WOODS! IM SO EXCITED! :D HOPE YOU ALL HAVE AN AMAZING, SPOOKY, CREEPY, YUMMY, AWESOME HALLOWEEN! :D
