"There's Nothin' Like The Summertime"

Oh, Yes. Summer... It's finally here! I'm so excited for this summer. It will probably be the most eventful summer I've had SO FAR, and, I can't wait. I have to say; I'm one lucky kid. I get to go to Washington DC/ Virginia for two weeks with the best cousin in the world, and an amazing aunt! Then, we'll travel down to South Carolina on a beach house, with my aunt and her dog, and my cousin. After that, I fly back home for two weeks. Two weeks to just chill out and hang out with my friends and family. Perfect. Once those two weeks have passed, it's to-the-airport-we-go with my dad, Tracy, and maybe my brother, Ryan (if he's not playing his summer baseball!) to fly to Spokane, Washington. From there, we drive up to Sandpoint, Idaho, by lake Pond O'Reille. Every year we rent out a cabin...the same cabin.... every year. I know every inch of this cabin. I even know which stair creeks. This cabin is like a home away from home to me. My Aunt Mary and Uncle Ron always take their boat up there, it's a really great boat. Great skiing/ tubing boat. My grandma Sheila will be up there, and usually my uncle Richard and Aunt Rea will be there. My Grandpa Bill, and his wife, Ginny will be there. I love being up at Sandpoint. It's such a beautiful city, and has beautiful sunsets and sunrises. I love waking up every morning and coming down to the living room where my family is sipping their coffee and laughing in their pajamas. I love hanging out with my family. We all have so much fun, and I forget about any drama. We always have the best food up there, and always sit around a fire and laugh and every year, we almost always have an inside joke that comes from around that fire pit. The night sky is so clear up there, you can see all of the stars. It's amazing, and I love it! After Sandpoint, I'm going with my mom, and brother up to Washington to see my cousins. I have a cousin named Karen, but she's really like an aunt. So I call her Aunt Karen. This family is so AWESOME. I haven't seen them in two years, and I'm so excited. My cousin Sean is so cool, and my uncle Greg is so funny! They are renting a beach house on the Washington coast, and invited us to come. I can't wait to see them! I know this will be a BLAST. We might even go horse-back-riding! SO excited to see them!! I hope this will be the best summer I've ever had. It sounds so much fun!!

"WAIT, I HAVE TO FLY BY MYSELF??!" -Me
Yes, I'm kind of worried about flying to plane flights by myself. I've never done it before, and each flight is about 3 hours...I think. I've flown on so many planes before, and I can do it, but I'm just a little nervous. All though, I will be an "unaccompanied minor" so I'll have an escort to my flights. Super excited. I have to say, after this, I'll probably come out of it really responsible... Well, I already am responsible, but I just think it will be good for me. Good practice for when I'm older.

...Right now, my dad's mom, A.K.A., Grandma Sheila is here. She loves to bake. Before she gets here, I'm fine. I eat pretty decent, and I exercise...but when she gets here, we bake EVERYTHING. So far, we've baked: Caramel Rolls (sticky buns), Peanut Butter Drop Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Blueberry Lemon Curd Cupcakes (my idea on the cupcakes). Later today we'll probably make lemon bars.... holy cow! Talk about YUMMY!! Delicious, actually. But I think I've gained like 5 pounds. Hah. It's ok, though.

HAPPY SUMMER! <3
