Hello everyone!
I can't believe that I am already just weeks away from ending my first semester in high school!
Crazy, right? Ugh, I'm dreading finals. To think I already have alot of homework... times that by twenty.  But, it's ok because I have a THREE WEEK Christmas Break to look forward to after that!
Anyways, I was just going to inform you on a few things that have been going one recently...
First of all, I have gone to a few of BK's football games, which are a total blast and are so much fun to just hang out with friends at. It's also a great time to just go out and support your school.
The picture below is one of a few of my really good friends and I. Honestly, changing schools was so scary and these people are some of the amazing friends that I have made during this time at BK. They have made me feel so welcomed and they have truly made a big impact on my life.

On the night of Friday's football game, in the middle of the game, one of the opposing team's players was badly injured. His name is Boone, and he broke his C4 Vertebrae in his neck. He is suffering paralysis. That night, was probably one of the most powerful nights I have seen. The reason?
Here's the story:
Well it was the middle of the game, and after a play was over, a playing from the opposing team, the Kavemen, was laying near one of the end zones, not moving. It took awhile for people to figure out what was wrong, but they realized that Boone needed an ambulance because he could not feel or move any part of his body. He was taken away in an ambulance, and soon after the ambulance left, both teams set aside their differences, and came together to pray for Boone. This moment, for me, was so powerful. I thought that it was truly heart-warming that two teams can come together for one person, and to pray together. The teams made a circle in the middle of the field, and suddenly the whole stadium grew silent. Almost silent enough to "hear a pin drop".  Everyone praying for Boone to be ok.
So far, Boone is said to move his arms, and one of his left toes. He may be able to recover from the paralysis. So please, keep him in your prayers.
On a lighter note, districts for XC was about a week ago, everyone finished strong. I will miss this team so much. Although I will be doing a Nike Cross-Regionals Race with a couple of my friends, districts was the last race that I will have with my whole team until next year. I really do love all of these people! They are now my closest friends, and I thank XC for that. (and my parents who pushed me to join XC)
