Today my whole grade got to go to a historical place called Celabration Park.
Now you may be thinking that it is just a park with swings and slides and monkeybars with a historical exhibit. But no, sorry to say, that is not it. It is in the mountains by a famouse bridge called Guffey Bridge. I will tell you more about the bridge later. Now, we were there all day. It was an hour long bus ride to Celabration Park. But the ride wasn't bad. Anyway, when we got there, my class did I activity called Addle Addles. What it is, is that we had wooden Addles. (Which it a peice of wood.) In the center there is a dip or a little whol in it. So you can put your hand around the middle. On the top was a tip. A peice of would that went into the end of your arrow. (the arrow's ends were not sharp)We put the tip into the top of the arrow. Then, on the bottom of the Addles, we put the arrow streight down from the tip into a little dip in the end of the arrow. Then we flung them at targets. If we hit the Whooly Mamoth (greem center of target shaped like a mamoth) the constructor gave us a doller. It was harder than it looked. None in my class got a doller. But a girl named Ashley in the other class got one. It was cool. Now, about the Guffey Bridge. I man and some construction workers built a bridge. The man's name was Guffey. He sold the bridge to a company. Later, the company sold the bridge to another company. That company bought the bridge for $1.00!!!!!! It is over 100 years old. Anyways we learned about the ice age and all that good stuff. So yeah and there it goes again! There will be a post here tomorrow!
