A big wind of catch-up talk is coming for you in this post, so, be ready for
a nice long read! Wink wink!
As you may have read, I made my school's varsity basketball team, and just to review,
all I wanted to say about this subject was, I miss it. I miss basketball, I miss my team, my coach, my uniform, everything. But on the bright-side, AAU season is finally starting. Tryouts were last weekend! I'm on a new team, and I am going to be getting to know all-new routines and players. But that's ok, because there isn't anything wrong with that. There aren't many girls on my team, considering half of the team is said to be playing soccer instead of basketball. Oh well.
Well, that's almost all that I've been up to, except I recently helped out at our local Ronald McDonald house by baking brownies and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes for the families there. It was great. One of the highlights was, when I was waiting for the cupcakes to bake, a little Hispanic girl named Alison came running in the kitchen. Probably 3 or 4 years old. She had really big brown eyes, and perfectly streightened long black hair with a braid going down the side. She flashed a huge smile and started asking us questions in Spanish. I'm in Spanish 1. I barely know anything. I'm just starting to learn gender/verb agreement. How was I going to say anything without making a simple mistake? I tried a couple of sentences, and she smiled and laughed. It's good knowing that she came back later and probably had a brownie or cupcake...Yay!
WEDDING
Have I ever mentioned that I haven't been to a wedding before? Like, I've never
watched a bride walk down the isle. So I'm pretty much freaking out right now.
Well, I have been for the past couple of months. You see, my cousin, Ryan, is engaged to his fiance Nicole. Who, I've met once. (They live in Seattle.) She's really nice and I'm really happy for them. They've been dating for what seems to be 4 or 5 years. So yay for them!!
But I'm serious. I'm freaking out. I already have two dresses picked out. One for the rehersal dinner, and one for the actualy wedding. I need shoes. Ohh... shoes. Shoes shoes shoes. Black ones. Heels. Well, that narrows it down to.... ABOUT HALF OF THE ENTIRE SHOE POPULATION!
Thanks, Maddie. For making this sooo easy.
Oh well.
I'm excited. Two weeks away. AHHH! <3 p="">
