Music to My Ears

Wake up, get ready for school, go to school, go home.
It's simple. The car rides are always quiet, but that's good, because I'm usually tired. I always pay attention to little things in car rides. Such as houses, architecture, trees. Yeah, trees are nice. But do you ever hear a song come on on the radio and look out the window all dramatically, as if you were being filmed for a movie or music video? Suppose the song was sad, and you just stare out the window. Suppose it's happy, upbeat. You roll down that window and let that wind whip your hair around everywhere. Music really has an impact on feelings. Speaking of music, I've noticed alot of kids saying they don't like country music. All I hear out of people's iPod play lists are songs that have a cool beat, but not very meaningful words. As if the artist came up with whatever seemed to rhyme and threw them together.  I like songs like that sometimes, but most of the time I like music that I can relate to.

While in the car one afternoon, the song called "Why Don't We Just Dance" by
Josh Turner came on. I listened to it, and ever since then I have payed more attention every time it comes on. This song makes me happy. It's about how it OK to just goof off sometimes. To forget about stress and just...well, dance. Just have fun. Just relax!

The point is, music does have meaning. I think that people should start to consider
Listening to the actual lyrics of songs.
